I received my certification in massage from the San Francisco School of Massage in 2009, where I learned Swedish and deep tissue techniques. Since graduation I have more than 1,000 hours of hands-on experience. In 2017, I completed a first level Thai massage course in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
One of my main motivations in learning to give massage was to be able to offer people the same type of healing bodywork that I have received over the years. Regular massage has helped keep me healthy and happy.
Working with my hands has always been an important aspect of my creativity. As a gardener, I've become adept at paying close attention to the quiet energy present in plants and other elements of the living landscape. My early university education was in fine art and I've worked as an artist now for more than two decades.
Attention to detail and an intuitive ability to spot connections through vision and touch is directly connected to all of my work - as an artist, gardener, and as a massage therapist. I listen to clients and to their bodies.
